On January 2, 2025, the UPSA Auditorium in Accra was transformed into a hub of inspiration as Dominate 2025 unfolded under the theme Take Your Place. Organized by Gift Africa, this impactful event united hundreds of Christian youth eager to embrace their leadership potential and grow in faith.

The event opened with giveaways led by Eden Evangelist and a soul-stirring ministration by Consecrated City Music, setting an atmosphere of worship and engagement. Fifi Folson, CEO of Kristocentric Media, skillfully guided attendees through a day packed with enriching sessions covering mindset transformation, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, relationships, and leadership.

Lucy Quist, founder of The Bold New Normal and IFC-nominated non-executive director for CSquared, kicked off the masterclasses with her talk on Mindset Shift. Drawing on her corporate leadership journey, she emphasized the importance of deliberate self-reflection and collaboration to nurture an excellent mindset. She was followed by Peter Akwaboah, COO of Fannie Mae, who urged attendees to “Take Your Mountain. Take Your Territory,” encouraging them to dream big, start small, and leverage technology while staying resilient and humble.

A dynamic entrepreneurship panel featuring Gwen Addo, Joojo Ocran, Gisele Dede Aklobessi, and Dustin Glover delved into strategies for raising capital, integrating faith into business, and leveraging technology. Their insights emphasized discernment and purpose, with Glover cautioning that “not every opportunity is from God.”
Subsequent panels included discussions on career building and relationships. Moderated by Ebenezer Amankwah, the career-focused session highlighted the importance of soft skills over technical expertise, adaptability, and creating a niche. Contributions from experts like David Tenkorang of Chipper Cash, Clara Pinkrah-Sam of Clatural, Nyaniki Quarmyne of Wells Fargo, and Terry Afram of Bridge Partners underscored the need for continuous learning and global opportunities.

In a session on relationships, pastors Harry and Nhyira Allotey, along with Yawa Hansen-Quao, emphasized mentorship, leadership submission, and positive affirmations. “The devil is not after your today but your tomorrow,” warned Ps. Harry Allotey, stressing the importance of cultivating meaningful, faith-based relationships.
Rev. Albert Ocran’s masterclass on financial literacy provided actionable strategies for financial success, such as redefining perspectives on money, creating multiple income streams, and communicating one’s value effectively. Meanwhile, Rev. Celia Apeagyei-Collins urged attendees to lead with patriotism and purpose in her session on Raising the Next Generation of African Leaders. She called for citizen-first leadership, emphasizing that “wherever you carry excellence, you attract.”
Rev. Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye Jnr’s exhortation resonated deeply, reminding participants that “man cannot be man except in God.” He challenged Christian youth to step into positions of influence, highlighting politics and leadership as tools for godly transformation. Building on these foundations, Sylvia Akwaboah, convenor of Dominate 2025 and founder of Gift Africa, inspired participants to disrupt norms and take bold steps in leadership with her call to action, Be a Disrupter.

The event concluded with a keynote by multiple award-winning Nigerian gospel artiste Moses Bliss. Known for his global hits Too Faithful and Bigger Everyday, Bliss captivated the audience with his message, Dare for More. He challenged attendees to focus on personal growth, align with God, and embrace purpose, leaving the audience empowered to rise and lead with excellence.
