Labone Senior High School came alive on the 19th of January 2025 as the Ra’ah Movement, organized by the Hadassah Foundation, hosted a spirit-filled event on its campus. The program, held at the school’s premises in Accra, marked a new chapter for the foundation as it expanded its outreach to senior high schools across Ghana.
Established in 2019, the Hadassah Foundation initially focused on supporting orphanages and offering counseling services. This year, the foundation broadened its mission, aiming to bring the Gospel to every senior high school in Ghana, with Labone SHS as its inaugural stop.

The event began with uplifting music, setting an exciting and serene atmosphere for students. Hosted by renowned MC and radio personality, Fifi Folson, the program seamlessly flowed into an opening prayer by Pastor Emmanuel and a word of exhortation from the school’s chief chaplain.
The crowd erupted during the praise session led by Gospel artist Paulo, as hundreds of students flocked to the front to sing, dance, and glorify God with unrestrained joy. The energy was palpable, resonating throughout the school grounds.
The highlight of the day was a sermon titled “And I Saw the Dead Standing” by Mrs. Maame Akua Obeng Darko, founder of the Hadassah Foundation and convener of the Ra’ah Movement. Her heartfelt message resonated deeply with the students as she emphasized the importance of building a relationship with Christ during the critical transitional years of senior high school.
In her powerful sermon, Mrs. Obeng Darko explained how our deeds are recorded and will one day be judged by God. She urged students to live lives pleasing to God, be examples of Christ, and embrace salvation. Her sermon culminated in an altar call where many students gave their lives to Christ marking the beginning of their life in Christ.

It did not end there. She also gave cash donation to support the school’s chaplaincy in their mission to constantly equip the students with the word of GOD.
The next stop for the Ra’ah Movement is Accra Academy on the 23rd of February, as the foundation sets out to impact every senior high school in the country.
