Pastor Vincent Baah’s journey is one of resilience, faith, and divine purpose. Once homeless and struggling to survive, he found himself detained in a UK immigration detention centre for two years before being deported to Ghana. Today, he is not only a British citizen but also an established gospel musician with a new release, Merciful GOD, featuring Perez Music. He shared his incredible story on the Gospel Drive with Fifi Folson on Kristocentric Station.

Pastor Vincent Baah’s love for music began with his mother, who had a passion for singing. However, in his youth, he was more drawn to sports. Even in church, he initially served as a drummer rather than a singer and never imagined himself becoming a songwriter. That changed when he was arrested and placed in a UK detention centre. It was during this difficult period that his musical talents were revealed.

Before his arrest, he had experienced extreme hardship. He was not just homeless but also had no access to food or heating. Surviving on just water, his struggles deepened when the authorities questioned the legitimacy of his documents, leading to his arrest. For two years, he was moved from one detention centre to another. Despite the uncertainty, he was appointed as a chaplain within the detention centre, a role he believed was part of God’s plan to shape him. It was also in detention that he began receiving songs, which have now grown to a collection of 60 compositions. So far, he has recorded 10 of them, with six more set to be released this year.

During his time in detention, he received a prophecy from Reverend Osbert Eduam, the senior pastor and founder of Life Empowerment Chapel. The prophecy revealed that he would become a prophet and that, despite his struggles with documentation, God would establish him in the UK. As the challenges persisted, Pastor Vincent Baah found himself doubting the prophecy and even the one who delivered it. However, in time, God fulfilled the words spoken over his life, and today, he is not only settled in the UK but is also dedicated to helping fellow Ghanaians facing similar struggles.

Reflecting on his journey, he has one piece of advice for believers: “Do not take condemnation from anyone because they are not God.” His latest release, Merciful GOD, is now available on all major streaming platforms.
