FAMILY IS A PILLAR OF SUCCESS (AKOSTIK)

The concept of family and the role it plays in the success of the child has been established over centuries. Family is the first interaction children have with other humans and forms the basis of their growth, perception of the world and success in their endeavours.

Ghanaian Gospel musician, Akostik, when asked of how he got into music, revealed how his family played a vital role. According to him, his family is made of footballers and musicians. This family trend  coupled with other influences during his secondary school education, set him on a path to music. The artiste who recently released a song titled “Gye W’Aseda” expressed how this song came to him through inspiration and was a way to show gratitude to GOD for delivering him in key moments.

The artiste made these known during the Gospel Drive Online on the Kristocentric Station with host, Fifi Folson. He added that, he is currently working on another song which scheduled to be released in November 2022.

Family however goes beyond just genetic relations. Family goes further into support from those who are not related by blood. This could include work colleagues, school and church friends. People of all ages especially children need constant support in order to have any hope for a fruitful future.

Akostik who is currently in the USA pursuing his Phd in Material Science, seeks to use his talents to glorify the name of GOD through his songs. In the interview, he further expressed how he got the opportunity to sing during his secondary school education and how taking this chance helped him establish a legacy in the school. He added how his friends helped him select his latest release from a bunch he had written. A decision he has not regretted.

The story of how he was influenced by family and friends to get into music and how he balances music and his academics screams out determination and service to GOD. It also raises the importance of choosing what influences the believer. Christians must be cautious of who they interact with and allow into their circle because bad company will corrupt good manners within them. Allowing people rooted in Christ to influence them will ensure that their faith and morals remain intact.
