Nara By Tim Godfrey

Author: Tim Godfrey

Artist: Tim Godfrey ft Travis Green

Tim was a Hawker when he was young; he’s sold all kinds of things, banana, groundnut, you name them. His mum would give himself and his siblings all sorts to go and sell. They were so poor they could not afford to go to Secondary school or University.

He said himself and 6 other children lived in this single room with both parents and when you open the door, the first thing you see is pigs, those were his legitimate neighbours. He was born in a village in Kaduna State where there was no electricity.

He said they couldn’t afford shoes so throughout his childhood they were barefooted, even to primary school. Things got so tough that his dad became a bus driver and made him the bus conductor at a young age.

He first came to Lagos in 1999 and passed his first night under the bridge in Oshodi.

He says that if he had ten thousand tongues to sing, it won’t be enough to thank God for all the things that He has done for him.

He said in 2016, God led him to House on the Rock and he became a member there. Since then his life has turned around. He said he didn’t even need to meet Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the senior pastor. The transformation was so drastic, people thought he was involved in the occult. Some said he was involved in money laundry.

But he testifies to God’s glory that God gave him the kind of testimony no man can take glory for.  Nara is a thank you song to God for all He has done for Him. He says if he had ten thousand tongues, it still won’t be enough.
