PLANNED PARENTHOOD PUSHES PUBERTY BLOCKERS TO CHILDREN THROUGH CARTOONS
Planned Parenthood is currently facing backlash from a large section of the US population after they promoted the use of puberty blockers to children who are trans-identifying or non-binary through a cartoon.

Planned Parenthood which was founded in 1916, provides reproductive health care in the USA and globally. In 2011, it was estimated that the non-profit organization made a total of $229 million in income from providing reproductive services to clients.
The ad which was posted to Youtube in January tells children that puberty looks different for everyone particularly for those who are trans, intersex or non-binary. They further informed children that their puberty can be placed on hold by taking puberty blockers to allow them enough time to figure out the sex they want to belong to.
Puberty blockers according to Mayo Clinic, are prescription medications that suppress the release of sex hormones, including testosterones and estrogen during puberty. It is normally used on children who show a long-lasting and intense pattern of gender non-conformity and gender dysphoria.
For those who believe they are trans-identifying or nonbinary, Planned Parenthood claims that puberty can be “uncomfortable” and “stressful” if their experiences do not align with their preferred gender identity.
The ad then misleads children into believing that they can take puberty blockers to temporarily delay puberty, claiming that the drugs “work like a stop sign.”
“Puberty blockers are safe and can give you more time to figure out what feels right for you, your body, and your gender identity. You don’t have to have all of the answers right now.” Planned Parenthood claims.
Planned Parenthood recently faced allegations they willingly prescribed puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to individuals identifying as the opposite sex without medical examination.
In a consent form issued by the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2020, the hospital stated that taking of puberty blockers could have some negative side effects on the individual including infertility.

The issue raised regarding Planned Parenthood is not just about the message they are sending across but also the target audience they are sending the information to. Children are the vulnerable not just physically but also mentally. As a child grows, he/she forms their principles and identity not just from those they interact with but also what is consumed on various media platforms. The vulnerability of the child is show in Bible. In Proverbs 22:6, the Bible encourages guardians to train the child in the way he should grow. Every child needs to be trained and nurtured for them to have sound beliefs and principles. Without right guidance, any child is destined to follow what the world feels is right but according to Proverbs 14:12, the end is death.
